Another Successful Reunion in 2021

Another Successful Reunion in 2021

The weekend of 3rd to 5th September 2021 saw 74 stalwarts take part in the IJLB 2021 Reunion. Our first since Covid struck!

Friday saw the golf competition won by Pete Curtis and both the Indian Meal and the Italian meals being a great success on Friday evening,

At Saturday’s AGM our current Chairman Brian Kilty stood down after more than 5 years service to the Association and Graham Lacey took over as Chairman.

Lt Colonel John Fleming and Major Fred Hardie meet at Reunion (Fred Was RSM At Shorncliffe.)

The meeting also Appointed Graham Fowler as President after his long service as a previous Secretary and Treasurer and Ian Cartwright was appointed an Honorary Life Vice President as one of our senior members and long time supporter of The Association. Our congratulations to them all.

The Saturday Reunion Dinner was a tremendous success with our Guest of Honor Lt Colonel John Fleming, who was CO IJLB at Shorncliffe giving us all an insight to his tenure.

On Sunday everyone gathered at The IJLB Memorial for a wreath laying ceremony in bright sunlight. As RSM Dusty Smith used to remark “The Sun Shines on the Rightous”

Our President Graham Fowler lays The Wreath at the IJLB Memorial in Cae Glas Park watched by the gathered ex Juniors
